After Paradise
Michelle Collins and Sean Lowe are hosting again. Nick is co-hosting (kind of). Katie Lowes (from Scandal) and Adam Shapiro (her husband) are the official co-hosts.
Everyone comments on how Nick used to be the bad guy and now everyone loves him. Yeah… it’s just so strange how that happened…
They yap for a while and then Ashley from Bachelor Burn Book, one of the more popular Bachelor blogs (see link at the end of this article), calls in with a question for Nick: “How does it feel to go from the guy everyone hates to the guy bachelor nation loves?”
Nick says he has no complaints. “The more you see of someone the more get to know them.”
America’s Poll:
Which couple do you think will make it to the end?
- Grace: 7%
- Jamanda: 9%
- Jaila: 29%
- Cevan: 55%
I don’t know about Jared and Caila. I have to agree with people who say she’s kind of “fake”. I don’t think she’s purposely being fake though. I think she’s just so concerned with being “nice” that she’s inauthentic and doesn’t know who she really is or what she wants… kind of like Jared.
Daniel Explains it All
They do a segment on After Paradise called “Daniel Explains it All” in which we see Daniel explaining a crucial plot point of the week’s episodes as only he can. It’s usually pretty funny but I haven’t covered it before now because it just wasn’t funny enough to induce me to bother putting it to paper (or “to screen” to be precise) but this week was special:
Daniel on Izzy: “Last night, Brett shows up and Izzy was kind of excited to see this new guy, Brett. If I got dumped by a guy who brought a lamp, I’d be pretty embarrassed. I don’t have a chandelier on me but maybe if I brought one out of my suitcase, she might go for me now. Who knows? Maybe if I bring out some silverware, antique clocks, a baby squirrel, my mom’s front tooth… she’d be into that sort of thing.”
Vizzy Reunited (and it feels so good)
Vinny comes on to dish about his relationship with Izzy. He says he’s been living without lamps the last couple of months. He’s been living by candlelight. (He DOES have a sense of humor! Who would’a thunk it?)
He’s still a little heartbroken over Izzy.
LeAnn Rimes’s ex-husband, Arie Luyendyk Jr., and Patty Stanger ALL Skype in to give Vinny advice on how to deal with a very public breakup (uh… Nick Viall is sitting right next to him. You guys really didn’t need to go to all that trouble) and what to do in his next relationship.
Izzy comes on to talk about the break up. She said she did find love but she wasn’t able to talk about the doubts she was having about herself and her relationship. She apologizes to Vinny. She regrets “letting an amazing man go” but she’s done it before. Izzy runs from good things.
Sean asks if there’s any potential for them to get back together. Vinny says he can’t trust that Izzy won’t do the same thing again. And Izzy worries about the same thing.
Vinny’s mom Skypes in to tell Izzy she made a huge mistake.
The final part of After Paradise is a preview of the confrontation between Nick and Josh coming up this week.
I hope you’re all enjoying the new episode.
You guys rock! Have a great week. 🙂
